Shillong, May 25: The Meghalaya BJP State President Mr Ernest Mawri condemn the incident in Bihar where hundreds of miscreants forcefully boarded a ‘Shramik Express’ train carrying passengers from the North Eastern states, including Meghalaya, at the Danapur station in Bihar.
These miscreants, who wanted to travel back to their homes for celebrating their festival today, not only misbehaved, but also physically assaulted the passengers.
The State President of BJP, Mr Ernest Mawrie expressed shock that such an incident could take place despite the lockdown measures enforced by the local administration of Bihar.
He urged the people to cooperate with each other during the Covid 19 threat as the government is plying these trains for the benefit of stranded workers, etc. and not for facilitating people to celebrate their religious festivals.
Mr Ernest Mawrie has strongly condemned the unpleasant incident, and will be taking up the matter with the concerned railway authorities, the Govt. of Bihar and the State President of Bihar BJP.
