Meghalaya Girls selected to the Grand Finale Indian reality TV show ‘Yes I Am’

Shillong, April 17: The Local girl from Meghalaya Miss Banteithymmai Nongrum continues to shine on the biggest stage of Indian reality TV show ‘Yes I Am’ as she has been selected to compete in the Grand Finale of the multi talent contest scheduled to take place in Mumbai.

In order to achieve her goal and make her state and the entire North East proud, Miss Nongrum appealed to all the residents of Meghalaya and other North Eastern States to vote for her by going to ‘Yes I Am’ Facebook page and comment on her profile by typing her name ‘Banteithymmai Nongrum’ at the comments inbox.

An advocate in the Supreme Court of India, in support of Nongrum at a press conference held on Monday, urged all the people of the state including various NGOs like the KSU, HYC etc, to support the local artist with an aim to win the competition.

Mr Budlang,  appeal to all the colleges in Khasi, Jaintia and Garo hills including the North Eastern states to lend their support to Nongrum so that she can bring laurels to the state and the entire North East region,” he said.

Informing that Nongrum is the only participant from the North East in the competition, he said, “I feel every North Easterner should feel proud of her achievement hence everyone should support her so that she can reach the ultimate goal of winning the competition.”

Seeking support for his sister, Budlang Nongrum said, “Those people who are not using Facebook can always request their friends and family members who are using the social networking site to vote for ‘Banteithymmai Nongrum’.”

However till date there is no support for the local girl from the state government, but her supporters informed that they will soon send an official letter to the government seeking support for Nongrum.
