Guwahati, June 28: An era of NAGA revolution came to an end with the sad demise of one of the founder members of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN), Issac Chisi Swu, who breathed his last in Delhi, at the Fortis hospital at around 12.40 pm today.
Swu, the co-founder of the Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland along with Thuingaleng Muivah and S S Khaplang, was admitted in south Delhi, last year on july 5th, following kidney ailments and urinary infection Isak Chisi Swu, along with Thuingaleng Muivah headed the NSCN-(IM) and was in talks with the government of India since it had a ceasefire agreement signed in1997.
Last year the Naga Peace accord was signed in New Delhi, with government of India, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.However, till date the peace accord has remained an illusion to the people of the country.

Following the death of swu, of Thuingaleng Muivah is now the only veteran leader in the helm of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM), and S S Khaplang, who broke away from NSCN and founded NSCN (K) is still operating from Mayanmar and is known not to be doing well in health condition.
However, the NSCN (Isak-Muivah) has set up their headquarters in Hebron in Dimapur, Nagaland. The NSCN(IM) is fighting for a separate Nagalaim after they had put aside their sovereignty demand. The Nagalim is an areas inhabited by Naga
people in the state of Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh.
The headquarters of NSCN (IM) in Hebron has been celebrating their independence day on 14th August, a day before India Celebrates Independence Day.
