Permission revoked
Shillong, April 28: In pursuance to Order of the Government through the Home (Political) Department dated 28th April, 2021 which has imposed containment measures to safeguard the State from an uncontrollable surge of COVID-19 cases.
The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills in an Order issued on 28th April 2021 has revoked the permission already granted for any meetings, gatherings, trainings, conferences, sports, events between 1st May, 2021 to 10th May, 2021 in the whole of East Khasi Hills District.
However, weddings for which permission has been granted are permitted with a revised ceiling of thirty persons only in the place of worship or hall.
