Shillong, Sept 25: Ayushman Bharat Diwas was celebrated at NEIGRIHMS recently to commemorate the first anniversary of Ayushman Bharat.
On this occasion, a role play was enacted to create awareness about Megha Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and availing benefits under the scheme.
Saplings were planted by the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. D. M. Thappa, Director NEIGRIHMS, Mr. Skhemjingmut Law, IT Manager State Health Authority, Prof. A.C. Phukan, Dean, Shri D. T. Umdor, Deputy Director and Prof N. Topno, Medical Superintendent to celebrate the occasion.
An information desk kiosk was also opened for patients to avail information through brochures and pamphlets about the schemes during the Ayushman Pakhwada.
