Shillong, October 15: Shillong Lajong FC Academy defeated Delhi Dynamos FC by 4-0 today in the U-17 Subroto Cup International Football Tournament.
Lajong Academy boys won all their matches in the group and have now advanced to the quarter finals of the tournament.
Lajong Junior Reds took the lead in the 14th minute when Parvaj scored with an easy tap in after an assist from team mate Loya.
In the 32nd minute, Lalrohlua blasted the ball from outside the box and doubled the lead to make it 2-0 with another assist by Loya.Lajong Junior Reds were leading 2-0 at half time.
They scored their third in the 55th minute. Lalrohlua beat three Delhi Dynamos defenders and easily found the back of the net.
The boys displayed a stunning performance today and enjoyed majority of the ball possession in each half of the match. Delhi Dynamos were not able to get through the Lajong back line.
Welbokstar dribbled past two Delhi Dynamos defenders and found the back of the net in the 60th minute to give Lajong a 4-0 lead.
Shillong Lajong FC Academy topped the group and have advanced to the Quarter Finals of U-17 Subroto Cup and will take on Clube Atlético Paranaense from Brazil on 17th October in New Delhi.
