The MSSASA school teachers will go for indefinite strike from Tuesday

Shillong, April 12: The Meghalaya SSA School Teachers Association (MSSASA) today announced that they will go for indefinite strike from coming Tuesday, to put pressure on the government to enhance their salary to 100 pc, the announcement come after their rally culminated near the Additional Secretariat.

These members of the SSA teachers who participate in this rally are from thus who were appointed as fourth teachers in the SSA School and thus who have not get their result from the NIOS. This strike will continue till the state government fulfills their demand.

The president of the MSSASA Mr Aristotle Rymbai in his address to the media said that, their demand, that the state government should enhance their salary by 100 PC including of the 4th Teachers, The government should published the result of all thus teachers who have completed their training under NIOS.

The association wants that the state government that any assurance made for their enhancement of their salary should be in writing, the association will go for indefinite strike if their demand is not met before the death line that they have announced.

The MSSASA started their rally from Madan Iewrynhep of Laitumkhrah and culminated near the additional secretariat where they also burn effigy to protest against the state government indifference to the plight of the SSA teachers.
