Shillong, October 31: The Secretary of the North Eastern Council (NEC) Mr Ram Muivah inform that they have retain Rs.112 cores schemes for the state of Meghalaya for this financial year 2016-2017, in spite of the fact that the state have submit very late.
Some of the scheme that was retain by the NEC, include a cable car from Pongtung village that will connect Pynter village, processing of Jack fruit in the state, to assist expansion of cultivation of Lakadong Turmeric.
To set up a cooperative management institute at Tura, to encourage plantation of black paper and many others which will help the state to develop in this area and one resort center, this project are club together mainly on Tourism and Industry.
About the submission of the Utilization Certificate the Secretary NEC admit that there are some delay but now they have improve, this not only for Meghalaya but even others NE state too.
