The SDMA need separate band for wireless communication, observed former police chief

Shillong, July 10: The former police chief of Meghalaya Mr W R  Marbaniang  who is one of the observer  in the mock drill organized by the State Disaster management Authority (SDMA) on Saturday at the State central library shillong, while delivering his observation said that the SDMA need separate band for wireless communication during natural calamities.

The former police chief who well acquainted with the wireless communication, he said that the SDMA should have separate band for wireless communication so that the band of the MPRO will not be congested or overlapping during emergencies.

The MPRO, has to deal with the day to day affair of the law and order and if disaster occurred the MPRO will be jam so there will be problems in communication, and if the SDMA has it should attached the proper designate operator so that it will be easy for the people who are in the helm of affair to easily communicate to the destination required.

He also advice to have  landing ground for helicopter services in all the district in order to deal with any natural calamities, it will be easy to land and air lift injured person during. This are the remark that he made as an observer  in the mock drill exercise  held on Saturday organized by the SDMA.
