Shillong, June 14: The President of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Mr D D Lapang and the working president Smti Debora Marak today met the AICC Secretary in-charge of Meghalaya Mr CP Joshi at the national capital New Delhi to apprise him of the political scenario in the state.
Speaking to SP News Agency Smti Marak said that they met the secretary AICC in-charge Meghalaya, she term this meeting as a courtesy call as he was newly appointed in-charge of Meghalaya.
Answering to quires she said that in this meeting they have discuss how to strengthen the party in the state to face the general Assembly in the 2018 in the state of Meghalaya, they did not discuss about the political scenario in the state.
When asked about the leadership issue in the Congress party, Smti Marak said that the secretary in-charge Meghalaya Mr CP Joshi will come to Meghalaya with two weeks and have one to one talk with all the party MLA to solicit their views.
