Shillong, Nov 27: Shillong Premier League 2019 Champions, Shillong Lajong FC will play their maiden Meghalaya State League 2019 Football Tournament on 28th November with their first match scheduled against Champions of Tyrsad – Umkaber SC. The match will kick off at 10:30AM in Kiang Nongbah Stadium, Jowai.
As many as 21 teams will be participating in the tournament which officially kicked off on 27th November at Mawkyrwat between Mawkohphed SC and Rangdajied United FC.
Shillong Lajong has been placed in Group A (Venue – Kiang Nongbah Stadium, Jowai) alongside, Lawbah SC, Lumniwar SC, Royal FC, Umkaber SC and Umrit SC.
The Squad are,Neithovilie Chalieu, C. Vanlalhriata,Kenstar Kharshong,Aman Ahlawat,Batskhemlang Thangkhiew, Kynsailang Khongsit, Apborlang Kurbah. M. Safique Ahmed, Freestar Kharbangar, Maxderidoff Wahlang, Phrangki Buam, Samuel James Lyngdoh Kynshi, Donboklang Lyngdoh, Naorem Mahesh Singh,Parvaj Bhuiya,Amon Lepcha,Kitboklang Khyriem, Abhay Gurung,Dajiedlang Wanshnong abd u Remark Kharmalki.
The officials of Lajong who will supervise during the tournament are Alison Kharsyntiew as a Coach, Birendra Thapa as Assistant Coach and Lucky Kitbok Kharmalki as physio.
