Jowai, April 26: The General Meeting of all the SSA teachers and 4th teachers of East Jaintia Hills District and West Jaintia Hills District will be held on 29th April, 2017 saturday at 11 am at District Library Auditorium, Hall Jowai.
In the general meeting they will discussed the report received from the officials of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan State Education Mission Authority of Meghalaya (SSA-SEMAM) regarding the demands made by the Meghalaya SSA Schools Association Central body which includes to release the revised pay of 12,481 SSA teachers and their arrears due from 1st April 2016, to enhancement the salary of 1521 Fourth teachers, which was pending since 2013.
The General meeting will discussed also the D.El.Ed , a 2-year teacher training course results of batch 2013 and 2014 and to depute the remaining untrained SSA teachers and 4th teachers for Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) training, to relax the revised pay for untrained SSA teachers in the financial year 2017-18 will also discuss at the meeting.
The leaders of the Central Body will also present on that day, Kyllimot Lhuid General Secretary MSSASA Jaintia Hills District Unit said in a press statement issued today. The general secretary, also appeal all the SSA and 4th teachers within the jurisdiction of East Jaintia Hills District and West Jaintia Hills District to attend the meeting.
