Shillong, February 18: The Urban Affair Department government of Meghalaya through the Town Vending Committee has approved the name of 234 vendors as notified on the 14.02.2017 under section 10(2) Of the Meghalaya Street Vendors (Protection of livelihood and Regulation of street vending) Act 2014.
The list of vendors duly approved by the Town Vending Committee proposed to be issued Registration Certificate in the municipal areas of Shillong are displayed in the Notice Boards of the Chief Executive Officer, Shillong Municipal Board, Bishop Cotton Road, Shillong and District Urban Planner & Member Secretary, TVC (M), First Floor Raitong Building, behind Main Secretariat Building.
Deputy Commissioner & Local Authority, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong. Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council, Mawprem, Shillong. The Notice and list is uploaded in the Meghalaya State Portal and meghalaya.gov.in and Shillong Municipal Board website at smb.gov.in.
In the notification said that, any aggrieved person (s) may file their objections to the Town Vending Committee (Municipal areas) alongwith the supporting documents to substantiate their objections on or before the 20th February 2017 in the office of the Chief Executive Officer, Shillong Municipal Board, Bishop Cotton Road, Shillong and District Urban Planner & Member Secretary, TVC (M), First Floor Raitong Building, behind Main Secretariat Building.
