ary 10: The Congress leader Mr Prestone Tynsong, who is also cabinet minister in the state government and a former Chief Executive Members in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), said “The beauty of political party in India, when situation arises even with devil we can work together”.
Mr Prestone said this happen irrespective of all parties in India, Either Congress, BJP, UDP or any party, when situation arises they will come together and work together even with devil, so to say yes or no is not appropriate at this juncture.
The Congress Minister Mr Tynsong said this when media person asked him whether the congress party willing to back the UDP party in the KHADC, if they withdraw their support to the PDF Executive committee under the leadership of Mr PN Syiem as the CEM.
This remark by the Congress minister who is also incharge of the District Council Affair department assume to be significant since the CEM of the KHADC is a congress MLA but he was expel from the party as the part term him (Punshngian) that he is doing anti party.
The DC (A) Minister refused to say anything about the party stand weather to back the UDP or not if the UDP withdraw their support to the PDF after their Parliamentary party meeting that will be held on the 16th of this month, but he said that in District Council is partyless since members they joint where ever they wish.
