Byrnihat, September 17: The 43rd Pass out parade for the trainees of filed assistance training at the Conservation Training Institute at Byrnihat was held today where the minister in charge Soil and water conservation Mr Ronnie V Lyngdoh took the salute.
For this year 2015-2016 there are 52 trainees who has pass out from this Institute, all these candidates are selected from different parts of the state from different departments, like the Autonomous Council too. This is the only institute in the north Eastern region that imparts training on environment preservation.
Speaking as the chief guest, Minister in charge soil and water conservation Mr Ronnie V Lyngdoh, said that this institute has come out due to the vision of the previous Director who has taken the initiative to have this institute in our own state.
The minister, lamented, why should our state not having our own Medical College or Engineering College, this may be due to lack of vision in the past, that is the reason we have to send our children outside the state for study.
Eleven month is not very long, but hopes that what you learn in this eleven month you can do something for the state. This is very important, in ensuring how to conserve the environment and it will help to check the global warming.
Do not do your job just to get salary, but do your job properly to conserve the environment and let us turn this world into paradise. This department will have many schemes in dealing with the conservation and preservation of the environment.
“I am happy that, the chief minister has allotted to me this department”, because this department deals with the soil and water conservation how to protect environment. The teaching that you have achieved from this institute let it not be in paper only, but translate them to reality.
“Our state is a small state; it will not be difficult to ensure that along with the development, we will also conserve the environment, our state is yet to developed, we still have to go ahead”.
The others speakers, are Dr C Lyngdoh, Mr Kenendy Khyriem both are parliamentary Secretary, the officer from the department also spoke on this special day where trainee from this institute after eleven month of their training get their certificate for their hard work.
