Dr. Ampareen Lyngdoh, Minister Labour will meet the brief family of Paresh in the Air port

Shillong, June 30: Shri Jitendra Barman, son of Shri Paresh Barman, village Bogularbhita, P.O. Hollidanga, P.S. Tikrikilla, West Garo Hills who was undergoing short term Training course in Multi Purpose Health care worker at HP Institute, Jagdishpur, District Sonepat, Haryana registered as a Vocational Training provider (VTP) under the SDI scheme died on 28th June 2014. The exact cause of death is under investigation. As per information available so far it appears to be a case of accidental death.

The DECT, Labour department, Government of Meghalaya coordinated with the VTP to complete the required formalities including Post mortem and investigation by the Police. Senior officials of the State Labour and Police departments are in touch with the Haryana Government officials to follow up on the investigation. The parents of the deceased trainee have been informed  about the sad  news. Arrangement has been made to bring back the mortal remains  scheduled to arrive at Guwahati airport at around 5:00 PM on 29th June by Spicejet from Delhi.

Dr. Ampareen Lyngdoh, Minister Labour etc. shall meet the bereaved family members at the airport along with the Departmental officers. Arrangement has also been made to carry the mortal remains to his native place.
The Chief Minister and the Minister Labour express their sorrow on the unfortunate demise of Jitendra Burman and convey their deepest condolences to the bereaved family.(SP News)
