Shillong, December 02: The police today said that for the information to the general public attending the Dorbar Pyllun of the Synjuk Ki Kynthei Catholic, Shillong Archdiocese which will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church Premises, Mawkhar Parish, Shillong on the 4th December, 2016 the following traffic arrangement is made for parking.
Vehicles coming from Ri Bhoi District they have to park along the areas along Wahumkhrah River and opposite Seng Khasi School, Jaiaw this for geavy vehicles coming from Ri-Bhoi District. Areas along Students’ Field Mission/Jaiaw, Langsning, are for LMV coming from Mission and Motphran side. Areas near KJP and St. Dominic School, Mawkhar for LMV coming from Jaiaw side.
Parking Lot opposite Anjalee Cinema Hall and MUDA Parking lot, Iew-mawlong for Heavy and LMVs coming from Nongthymmai side and Upper Shillong side. Boucher Road for Heavy and LMVs coming from Nongthymmai side and Upper Shillong side.
Ri-Bhoi Parking Lot, Lumdiengjri, for Vehicles coming from Ri-Bhoi side. One side of the road along Riatsamthiah road towards Christian Academy School. For LMVs coming from Jaiaw side.
On this day no entry for vehicles from Jaiaw Pdeng Junction near new Community Hall, Mawkhar towards Mawkhar Parish Vehicles coming from Jaiaw and wanting to proceed to Motphran will go through Riatsamthiah and proceed to Motphran via Syiem Mylliem Junction, Mawkhar. From Motphran to Mawkhar Parish From Seng Khasi College Bridge to Jaiaw Mawbynna, Vehicles coming from bridge near Seng Khasi College will proceed to Motphran via Wahumkhrah Bridge, Mawlai Nongpdeng.
All Church goers are requested to abide by the Traffic rules and not to overtake while driving. It may be informed that once the vehicle has entered the parking area especially in and around the Church area, it will not be allowed to come out till the Service is over in the afternoon. This has been done in order to ensure that all church goers reach the venue and are not caught up in traffic jam which may be cause by vehicles plying on both sides of the road.
