Shillong, May 08: Mother’s Day was celebrated at Raj Bhavan, Shillong on Saturday. Several mothers attended the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the Hon’ble Governor praised the role of the mother in our life. The Hon’ble Governor said that mother is the nurturer and custodian of their children and families. In our life, we learn many valuable things from our mother.
The advice of the mother is always beneficial for us. Mother’s heart is very soft and patient. Mother does the ethical and social growing of her children at a young age. Children also imbibe the teachings through the religious texts and epics introduced to them usually by the mother.
During the interaction with the mothers present on the occasion, one of the mothers said that father is the head of the family, but mother is the heart of the family. Behind the success of every family, there is hard work of the mother. Mother is the symbol of kindness and unconditional love.
