Shillong, July 20: The All Khasi Hills A.Chick Federation (AKHAF) today met the power minister Mr James K Sangma and submitted memorandum on the problems faces by the resident from Bagli to Maheshkhola bording with Bangladesh of South West Khasi Hills District where there is no electricity supply more than one year.
In the memorandum the organisation mention that people in the areas from Bagli to Maheshkhola are facing problems during this pandemic as they could not even charge their mobile phone even in time of emergency.
During this one year, due to the darkness in villages criminals from the neighbouring country take advantages of the darkness to inter into India and committed crimes like cows lifting and others criminal’s actives but gone un reported.
The residences of the areas what they fear most is that entering of illegal’s Bangladeshi to India they might spread Corona Virus in the areas. On this regard the organisation have already apprise the Deputy Commissioner of South West Khasi Hills District in the affrected villages, said Mr John D Sangma general secretary of the AKHAF.
