Shillong, June 01: Shillong Lajong FC and Royal Wahingdoh FC played out a 1-1 draw today in the U-18 Shillong Premier League in Polo Ground Shillong.
Both the teams scored their respective goals via penalty. In the first half of the match, Lajong juniors earned a penalty kick after the ball was handled inside the box by a Royal Wahingdoh player. Kagaley scored from the spot to hand Lajong juniors a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute.
In the second half of the match, Royal Wahingdoh FC found the much needed equaliser, after a foul was committed inside the box by a Lajong player. Royal Wahingdoh earned the penalty kick which was converted by Kynsailang Khongsit in the 74th minute.
Both sides who displayed good game of football today started to press forward in search of the winning goal but the score line remained all square till the final whistle. Shillong Lajong juniors will play against Nangkiew Irat on the 7th June.
