Shillong, July 18: The All India akhil bhartiya adivasi was form in Meghalaya.President Mrs.Mariah Mangte and General secretary Mr.Robin Roamie Heni of the North East All India akhil bhartiya adivasi (Tribal) Vikas parisad convene a meeting here in Shillong at the Assembly hotel to form the first body of the Meghalya Tribal Development Council.
In the meeting Mr.Arun Lyngdoh was elected as the President ,Mr.Jude Xalxo as the vice president, Miss. Badariti L.Nonglait as the General Secretary Mr.Kenneth Matthew as the Treasurer.In the meeting Mrs.Elizabeth Nongbri was elected as the women’s wing president and Mrs Daplin Lyngdoh as the Vice president.
In brief the All India akhil bhartiya adivasi (Tribal) Vikas parisad was formed way back in the year 1967 ,the main aim and objective of this organization is to preserve,promote and safeguard the tribal religion, culture, traditions and to preserved the languages.
This is a platform where all the tribals of India can come together to further the spirit of fellow feeling,service, solidarity,co operation and mutual help among all tribals of India by constitutional means. It also aims at creating awareness of the various schemes for the tribal under the central and state Government. Said Miss Badariti L Nonglait in the press statement.
