The BSF celebrated the fifth International Yoga Day at Red ground, BSF Mawpat

Shillong, June 22: In the true spirit of healthy life, the Border Security Force, celebrated the fifth International Yoga Day at Red ground, BSF Mawpat (Shillong) and also at various BOPs under it’s under command. Mr Kuldeep Saini IG BSF, in Presence of Mr U K Nayal DIG/PRO and other Senior Officers, inaugurated the function.

The trained BSF Yoga Instructor conducted the yoga classes where in all the Yogasanas and Pranayams were conducted. The occasion was also well versed with information on importance and benefits of Yoga. More then 600 enthusiastic BSF men and their families made this hour long programme a grand success.

Mr Kuldeep Saini, IG BSF said that “The holistic approach of yoga is well established around the globe and the importance of Yoga has been felt among the armed forces due to the challenging nature of the duties and the stress which was noticed after extreme monotonous and tough service conditions”.

Mr U K Nayal, DIG/PRO said “ Yoga is now a normal routine in BSF to keep our men physicaly fit and mentally alert”. He further stated that “A positive and destresseed body and mind are the fruits of doing Yoga daily”.
