The BSF distributed Free Items to border areas people from the CAP

 

 

Tura, June 30: 36 BnBSF deployed in South Garo Hills districts organised a Civic Action Programme on 29th June 2014 (Sunday) in border area of Dalu, to benefit several villages of borderingarea. More than 700 villagers including Sardar, headman/secretaries of villages Chandaboi, Kishnupara, Jatrakona, Gasuapara, Angratoli and Dumnikora etc.attended the Civic Action Programme.

Syntax tanks, Sports items, Stationaries, School Bags, Umbrellas, Chairs, Dorries& Buckets etc.worth more than Rs.4lakhs were distributed during the programme and School children presented a colourful cultural programme and gifts were distributed among them.

Shri S K Dogra, Second-in-Command, SHQBSF, Tura handed over the items to the villagers and he expressed that BSF and the border population have shared history, sharing present and will share future. The BSF and the border population together are complementary to each other.

Shri N D Mau, 2IC/OffgComdt, 155 BnBSF, Shri K S Nautiyal, 2IC/OffgComdt, 36 BnBSF alongwith families and children of BSF units  and CRPF Cobra Battalion Officials were also present on this occasion.(SP News)
