The Chief Minister Mr Conrad will tender his resignation as MP from Tura next week

Shillong, August 30: The Chief Minister Mr Conrad K Sangma will tender his resignation as Member of Parliament (MP) from 2-Tura Parliamentary Constituency next week. The Chief Minister has been elected as members of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly so he has to quite one of the post.

Sources closed to the National People’s Party (NPP) said that the Chief Minister Mr Conrad will tender his resignation as Member of Parliament (MP) from 2-Tura Parliamentary Constituency next week after his resignation only he will take oath as the Member of the Meghalaya the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.

Mr Conrad has taken oath as the Chief Minister of Meghalaya when he was not a member of the Assembly as the Constitution allowed but if he wants to continue as the Chief Minister he has be a member of the Legislative Assembly.

The MLA of 51-South Tura Miss Agatha K Sangma his sister has resign as MLA to paved the way for the Chief Minister Mr Conrad her Brother so that he could contest the MLA Election where he was elected as MLA from the South Tura Constituency  in the just concluded bye-election this has paved the way for the Chief Minister to continue as the Chief Minister of the collation MDA Government.
