Shillong, June 1:The Dorbar Shnong,of Jaiaw Laitdom organized a felicitation programme for State and National Awardees of Jaiaw Laitdom on 28th May, 2016. Meghalaya Home Minister, Smti Roshan Warjri attended the programme as the Chief Guest.
The Awardees were (L) Shri Babu Saron Shullai, National Award, Excellent Teacher, 1964, (L) Smti Kilolida Kharsati, National Award, Excellent Teacher, 1965, (L) Smti Listrimai Syiemlieh, State Award, Arts and Literature, 2001, Smti Ibarilin Kharsati, National Award, Excellent Teacher, 2011, Smti Bertha Dkhar, Award for Child Welfare, 2000 and Padmashree Award, 2009 and Shri Headingson Ryntathiang, State Award, Tirot Sing Award Arts and Literature, 2016.
The programme was also attended by Shri A. Nongrum, MDC, Shri S. B. Kharbangar, Rangbah Shnong, Shri J. S. Cajee, Shri H. S. Suting, General Secretary among others.
