Shillong, June 10: Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Mr Prestone Tynsong inform that the Government has entrusted to the Department of Commerce and Industries along with the Labour Department to convince a meeting with the private companies to instructed them to keep more preference to local youth for employment.
This meeting likely to take place with this week, it is also a follow up to the Government notification that private companies in Meghalaya should give preference to the local youth in employment if they have the required skill as required by the different companies.
On the quires weather the government have any plan to clamp total lockdown in the state as the positive cases are increasing, Deputy Chief Minister clarified that there is no plan to impose total lock down, but the Government in exploring ways and means to have more relaxation in the state.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that people should not look to the Health Department, Police department or Deputy Commissioners to go after them, a time has come where people has to take care of themselves by following all the instruction given from the Government.
