Shillong, July 10: The Rangbah shnong souring ding the Muncipal are including,Mawlai, Pynthorumkhrah, Nongmynsong, Mawpat Umpling, Nongthymmai, Nongkseh, Umlyngka, and Lawsohtun opposed the advertisement that was published 09/07/2016 in the media by the the Secretary, Meghalaya Urban Development Authority on the loan scheme for house building under the PMAY at the cost of Rs. 6 lakh and Rs.1.5 lakh.
The representative from the above villages which does not fall under the MUDA said that as per the discussion had done nothing that this areas should not be under the MUDA. Even at present for power connection they have to get the occupancy certificate from the MUDA, and naw they government has brought these scheme.
In the meeting they have taken the decision that they will not accept this scheme that offer by the MUDA, and all scheme of the central government should be rooted through C&RD Block. On the issued the Rangbah shnong will inform the “Synjuk ki Nongsynshar Shnong” of ka “Bri u Hynniew Trep” to take step on the matter.
They have decided also to inform the District Council since all these villages are under the Schedule areas of the Sixth Schedule of the Indian Constitution, they will also apprised the “Syiem of the Hima Mylliem” so that they can act on this issued.
At the same time they seek the cooperation of all the residence of the villagers, assistance from the government is needed but not through MUDA, the head man of the respective villages to cooperation so that the custom and tradition can be preserved since time of memorial said the press statement.
