Shillong, 14 July: The week long Football Referees Training organised by the District Sports Officer in collaboration with the Tura Referees Board concluded on Friday here at Ampati.
The training held from July 7 to July 11 aimed at training prospective football referees and produce capable and quality referees to officiate football matches which are held in various parts of the district during the season.
The training is being conducted keeping in mind that proper and strict conduct of matches by the referees not only contributes to the development of the game but also instills confidence, discipline and sportsmanship on the players so that they become better players in future said the official press statement.(SP News)
